So thrilled to be one of the contributors in British Style Society online magazine's recurring annual feature for International Women’s Day! They say this is a day: "dedicated to honouring the achievements of women, advocating for gender equality, and recognising the ongoing struggles women face globally. From the fight for voting rights to the push for equal pay and leadership opportunities, women have continuously shattered barriers and paved the way for a more inclusive future. But while progress has been made, the journey toward true gender equity is far from over".

💡 I am one of the 19 female professionals across several industry sectors sharing why it's important to accelerate action on gender equality and how it can be achieved.

➡️ My contribution:
At the current rate, it will take “140 years to achieve equal representation in leadership in the workplace”, according to UN Women. We can’t afford to wait 140 years to resolve the startling lack of women and minority representation in senior leadership, board and thought-leader roles.

Women are natural intuitive leaders: mentors, innovators, and strategists. The dominant corporate culture of rigid processes and data-driven approaches is often too limiting.

Women have the vision and the skills to shatter glass ceilings. There is no reason we can’t lead boardrooms, companies, and entire industries. If we want to hashtag#AccelerateAction toward gender equality, we need to shift how we see ourselves and demand the roles we were born to take.

In 2005, Helen first met Dana Taylor who, very reluctantly!, showed up at her Edmond, OK, office for a reiki session.  Dana then wrote this book about her healing journey, and it was the Amazon Indie Spiritual Book Award winner in 2014.  Dana also has more on her blog....

On February 27th, 2022, we organized a prayer event for Ukraine, and you can see part of the Fox 25 news interview with Helen here.

On June 11, 2022, Helen organized an annual bra drive for Free The Girls: Fight Human Trafficking   See the News 9 interview.  Helen shipped 166 bras (33.2 pounds)! That's almost half a month's inventory for a woman in Mozambique.
